Xiaomi Lin Bin donated 60 million shares to the Xiaomi Foundation, Lei Jun also donated

According to reports, according to documents disclosed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Lin Bin, the vice chairman of Xiaomi Group, recently donated 60 million Class B shares to the Xiaomi Foundation. It is reported that Lin Bin intends to better give back to the society through this donation to the Xiaomi Foundation, and promote domestic talent education and technological innovation.

In 2010, Lin Bin and Lei Jun co-founded Xiaomi Technology, and served as the president and vice chairman of Xiaomi. Prior to this, Lin Bin also held positions at Google and Microsoft. In September of this year, Lin Bin sold 350 million shares of Xiaomi’s stock for a maximum of 1 billion U.S. dollars.

Public information shows that the Xiaomi Foundation is a charitable organization in Hong Kong, established in November 2019, with Lei Jun as the chairman and executive director of the company. In July this year, it was reported that Lei Jun had donated a total of approximately 616 million company B shares to the Xiaomi Foundation and the Lei Jun Foundation. In addition to the 60 million Class B shares donated by Lin Bin this time, the Xiaomi Foundation has accepted several donations from Xiaomi executives.
