Samsung Will Not Participate In IFA 2020, May Change To Live Online

Although the epidemic is no longer so severe, there are still many uncertainties in large-scale events and exhibitions. Although the organizer of IFA, one of the world’s largest science and technology fairs, believes that it can be carried out as scheduled in September this year, Samsung does not think so and decides not to participate in this year’s IFA exhibition.
Although the new crown epidemic has stabilized globally, there are still many uncertainties. The organizers of IFA 2020 have made corresponding adjustments, the number of days held has been shortened by half to 3 days, and the number of participants has been greatly limited. Even only invitation letters are allowed to participate.
According to Korean media reports, Samsung decided not to participate in this year’s event out of consideration for the safety of its employees. It is likely to host its own live online event in September, because it is absolutely capable of doing so. The Unpacked 2020 event in August may be a test of this ability.
