Ring home drone camera released to monitor houses in all directions without dead ends

According to foreign media The Verge, Ring released a newest drone security camera, named Always Home Cam, which can fly around the house to monitor every corner.

The new Always Home Cam can also be seen as an autonomous drone that can support users to view all corners of the home in real time when they are not at home. After the flight is completed, the Always Home Cam will return to its internal charging. The equipment is expected to be delivered next year, and the price is US$249.99 (about 1707 yuan).

Ring’s founder and “chief inventor” Jamie Siminoff said that the original intention of Always Home Cam was to use one device to monitor the location of the home without having to install multiple cameras.

Before announcing the news, he said in an interview that the company had focused on the development of the device for the past two years and called the product “difficult to manufacture.” Thanks to advances in drone technology, the company was finally able to make such a product size that it worked as expected.

Always Home Cam is fully automatic, but users can also manually control it to fly. When the device is used for the first time, it will build a map based on the entire house. When the device’s ringing alert system detects interference, the drone can be ordered to fly on demand, or it can be programmed to fly automatically.
