India’s Q2 smartphone market ranking: Xiaomi, Samsung, vivo, realme, OPPO top five
India has about 500 million smartphone users. Thanks to models such as Redmi Note 8, Xiaomi’s share has increased throughout the quarter and currently accounts for 29%. Due to some reasons and the impact of the new crown pneumonia, the share of some Chinese mobile phone manufacturers declined in June. Samsung grew against the trend, with shipments exceeding 4.68 million.
It is worth mentioning that OnePlus has regained its leading position in the high-end market above $398 with the newly launched OnePlus 8 series, followed by Apple iPhone 11.
India also has more than 350 million feature phone users. The top five vendors in the market are ITEL under Transsion, the local Indian manufacturer LAVA, Samsung, Nokia, and the Indian local manufacturer KARBONN.
